Catch-Up/The Beginning of April

I realize that it has been a very long time since my last post. I have no excuses...except I have been on vacation for the last two weeks. I am going to try to do several posts between today and tomorrow, so keep checking!

I will start with the first week of April, which seems like a very long time ago! I spent a lot of time in Sete hanging out with the girls. Everyone was starting to have visitors and take trips so we had to have our "last supper" as a whole group back on April 1st! The six of us girls plus Bruno and Martha's friend Matthew met at an Italian restaurant in Sete for dinner. Rachel surprised us all by giving us a drawing of the six of us. It was so easy to pick out each one of us because everyone has certain characteristics and clothing that we wear all the time -- blame it on having to pack for 8 months overseas!

We took a reenactment photo after dinner at the restaurant. Unfortunately since we all dressed up for dinner, we aren't wearing the clothes we were drawn in!

Later that weekend, I took my inaugural hike up Mount Saint Clair, the hill that is perched on top of Sete. The view was gorgeous and the hike was great exercise! I liked it so much I even went up again the next day!

The good-bye dinners continued the following week when Pau and I cooked our last meal together as roommates. She left for the April vacation and isn't coming back to Beziers before going home to Mexico.

I also spent the weekend before vacation in Sete with some of the girls. Brittany was in London with 50 of her students, Martha was traveling with her friend Matthew, and Rachel was meeting her friend Liz in Paris. Annemarie and Eva were still there, as were Eva's fiance Dustin and her friend Amanda. We spent a beautiful afternoon at the beach in Sete, taking care to mind the rocky cliffs...

Now that you are all caught up on my last couple weeks before vacation, I can get working on the vacation pictures and blog!
